LUN claims that he will not send his soldiers to the capital city unless CHING promises to relinquish ZHOU’s crown, to let YUE and YUE’s comrades resume their posts as Ministers in the Ming government, and to break off PING’s engagement to HIN. CHING turns him down and drives him out of the chamber. By setting an example for others, PING tries to make the people understand that everyone has the responsibility to fight for their country.
